Crews investigate apartment fire in Tacoma, 18 people displaced
TACOMA, Wash. - Crews are investigating after an apartment fire in Tacoma left behind massive destruction Wednesday night.
According to the Tacoma Fire Department (TFD), crews responded to an apartment fire in the 8800 block of Pacific Ave. at 7:00 p.m.

Officials say eight units were damaged by the fire, with two sustaining heavy damage.
Two people were injured and taken to a nearby hospital in stable condition.
According to the TFD, the Red Cross was requested to help 18 people who were displaced by the fire.
Fire investigators say the fire originated in a balcony area between the units, but the specific cause remains unknown.
