SEATTLE — Police are investigating after a 54-year-old man was found seriously injured Tuesday morning in the northbound lane of State Route 99. The man later died.

The King County Sheriff’s Office said the man was found in the northbound lane of Aurora Avenue North near the intersection of North 170th Street. Deputies suspect the man was hit by a vehicle, and the vehicle took off. However, no one was there to witness the crash, deputies said.
