LIVE UPDATES: Western WA snow leaves slush on roads, thousands without power
Tracking Thursday snow in western WA
Snow continues to fall in western Washington and FOX 13 Seattle has team coverage throughout the region.
SEATTLE - Overnight snowfall in western Washington has once again made travel on local roadways difficult due to icy conditions on Thursday morning.
Lowland snow started falling on Wednesday and continued into the overnight hours as temperatures fell and rounds of showers continued to push into the Puget Sound area.
What's next:
According to the FOX 13 Seattle Weather team, the area should dry out by the second half of the morning commute, with sunshine on tap for the second half of the day. Temperatures will warm again to the mid 30s, which should help melt any snow or ice on the main roads by midday.
Below are live weather updates for Thursday, Feb. 6:
4 p.m.: Frigid temperatures overnight
While the latest forecasts point to a brief break from the snow tomorrow, temperatures are expected to plummet into the low to mid 20s by early Friday morning.
