Witnesses sought in fatal I-5 hit-and-run crash in Tacoma

Washington State Patrol is seeking witnesses to a fatal hit-and-run crash that happened on I-5 in Tacoma last weekend.

On Saturday afternoon, WSP says a 39-year-old man from Temple, Texas, was in a disabled vehicle that was blocking an unknown lane on southbound I-5 near the Tacoma Mall when it was struck by a green Chevrolet Silverado pickup.

The driver of the Silverado fled the scene in a white GMC Acadia that was stolen from a good Samaritan who stopped to help, according to WSP.
