One of the victims, a 32-year-old man, was pronounced dead at the scene and after life-saving efforts, a 22-year-old man died at the scene. The third victim, a 30-year-old woman, was taken to Harborview Medical Center in critical condition, but later died from her injuries.
SEATTLE - Seattle police are investigating a hookah lounge shooting that left three people dead and six others injured Sunday morning in the Rainier Valley.
Before 4:30 a.m., officers responded to multiple reports of shots fired at the Rainier Hookah Lounge near South Walker Street Rainier Avenue South.
When police arrived, they found three people who were shot and attempted life-saving measures until medics arrived.
One of the victims, 32-year-old Trevis Bellerd, was pronounced dead at the scene and after life-saving efforts, 22-year-old Jonathan Bishu died at the scene. The third victim, 30-year-old Nadia Kassa, was taken to Harborview Medical Center in critical condition, but later died from her injuries.
The King County Medical Examiner's Office said all three were killed from multiple gunshot wounds. One of the victims was shot several times in the head.
Seattle police give update on deadly shooting
Seattle police are investigating a shooting that left three people dead and six others injured Sunday morning in the Rainier Valley.
Suspect information hasn't been released but during a Sunday afternoon news conference, Seattle Police Chief Adrian Diaz said,"That is still a part of the investigation. What we do know is that we have recovered five guns. We are still trying to figure out who was in possession of those guns, who was shooting. Still yet to be determined."
As officers were investigating the scene, police received multiple reports that shooting victims arrived at Harborview Medical Center.
Seattle Fire Chief Harold Scoggins said during the news conference that six other victims were either taken to Harborview by medics or a personal vehicle. Five of the victims were stable, and one victim was in critical condition.
2 dead, more hurt in Rainier Avenue shooting
Seattle police are investigating a deadly shooting Sunday morning in the Rainier Valley.
Officers responded to the hospital to interview victims and witnesses.
Homicide detectives will be taking over the investigation.
It's unknown what led up to the shooting and police are looking for any video of the shooting for the investigation.
