Awning collapses; injures 2 in Burlington

BURLINGTON, Wash. -- A woman and a girl were hurt when an awning outside a restaurant in Burlington collapsed Sunday, police said.

Officer responded to El Gitano at 624 E Fairhaven Avenue at about 5 p.m.

Police said a woman and a girl were taken to the hospital. Their injuries are believed to be not life-threatening.

Police are investigating how the awning fell.
