Hang glider dies near Samish Overlook in Skagit County

MOUNT VERNON, Wash. (AP) — Authorities say one person has died while hang gliding about 75 miles north of Seattle.

The Skagit Valley Herald reports (http://goo.gl/uEmzcu ) the incident happened at about 5 p.m. Wednesday near the Samish Overlook on Blanchard Mountain.

Skagit County Fire District 14 Chief David Skrinde confirmed the death and said authorities are investigating.
