CAPTURED  -- King County fugitive Shaun Tubbs was arrested yesterday morning thanks to an alert citizen in Covington who spotted him on a stolen motorcycle .  She told 911 call takers she had seen a man who looked like him on Washington's Most Wanted and the news.

Deputies arrived at the home in the 27700 block of 168 Ave SE  and found the stolen motorcycle in the driveway. A woman in the house told them they could search it so they walked into the garage and just took a couple of steps inside and noticed Tubbs hiding behind a car.

Sgt. Jason Houck says he was wearing a leather motorcycle jacket at the time and had his hands in his pockets. Deputies yelled multiple times for him to take his hands out, show his hands and he said, 'You're going to have to kill me.'  Deputies tried to use the taser on him but the leather jacket prevented the prongs from connecting the first couple of times so they tried a third time and it worked.  "Mr. Tubbs fell over and as his hands came out of his jacket, he was holding a revolver," said Sgt. Houck.

Deputies rushed up and took him into custody and got the gun out of the way while he was screaming at them. Then, deputies say he claimed he'd swallowed some heroin so they had a medic unit come and take a look at him. He was taken to the hospital out of precaution and then booked into jail at 3:30 pm. "I don't know if he actually did swallow any heroin but often times people use that as a way to delay going to jail," said Sgt. Houck.

Tubbs was booked for Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, Possession of a Stolen Vehicle and Vehicle Theft. He is being held on $200,000 bail.  He is WMW Capture #786.
