Seattle police chief discusses idea behind special training video on transgender people (video)
SEATTLE -- The Seattle Police Department believes it is leading the country in how it trains its officers to treat transgender people. The department is the first -- and the only one -- that includes a training video featuring personal stories of transgender individuals.
Q13 News reporter/anchor Jamie Tompkins sat down with Police Chief Kathleen O'Toole and asked her where the idea came from -- and her very personal connection to the issue.
