MOUNTLAKE TERRACE, Wash. — The Snohomish County Medical Examiner’s Office on Thursday night identified the couple found shot dead in a car in a Mountlake Terrace parking lot and determined it was a murder-suicide.

The pair was declared dead at the scene Wednesday evening near 233rd Street Southwest and 48th Avenue West in the parking lot of Terrace Creek Park.

The medical examiner’s office on Thursday night identified the deceased as Russell M. Flint, 75, and Rosalea K. Flint, 73, both of Mountlake Terrace. The medical examiner said both were shot in the head — Rosalea as a homicide and Russell as a suicide.

Mountlake Police Commander Kevin Pickard says someone walking in the park found them  in the car around 5 p.m. Wednesday.
