Is this the 'most demanding 1st birthday invite ever' or is this now commonplace in the world of helicopter-parenting?

Reddit user razz32 posted it Thursday and by Friday morning more than 5-thousand comments had been added.

Razz32 wrote that it was a co-worker who had received the email.

"She printed to share with the office yesterday," wrote Razz32.  "From what I understand these people have a very significant income for those of you thinking they are strapped for cash."

Demanding, yes, honest, yes. I think gift receipts should be a given. These are things I wish I could add to my kids invites too but can’t b/c of manners, etiquette, and viral social media like this.

It’d be nice to get receipts with some gifts, but you shouldn’t demand it.
Why would one even bother going through the trouble of buying you something if you’re likely to return it for cash.

Blunt, yes. Presumptuous, yes. However, if people could get over that, following their guidelines would result in the saving of money and time.
