Victim spots thief on puppy-cam; can you identify him? (PHOTOS)

SEATTLE -- A Ballard resident's pet monitoring system caught a burglar kicking in a front door last week while the owner wasn't home. Now, Seattle police are asking the public to help identify the suspect.

The victim was at work around 4 p.m. Feb. 25 when her pet camera system alerted her to her two small barking. The woman turned her attention to the live stream of her home, just in time to see an unknown man kicking in the front door and walking right past the puppy cam, police said.

The suspect quickly fled the woman's home after the burglar alarm sounded, police said, grabbing an antique jewelry box on the way out.

Detectives haven’t yet identified the man, but are hoping someone out there recognizes him. If you do, please contact North Precinct detectives at (206) 684-5735.
