A mobile home fire was put out quickly early Saturday, but caused significant damage to the home.

Capt. Kyle Ohashi of the Kent Fire Department said that crews were called out to the home, on the 12200 block of SE 207th Street, around 12:40 a.m. on Saturday. The first units at the scene arrived to see fire inside and a window already blown out by the heat of the fire.

Crews were able to contain the fire quickly and made sure it didn’t spread beyond the home.

No one was home when the fire began, Ohashi said, and no one was injured fighting the fire.

Investigators have pinpointed the starting point of the fire as on the front porch, but haven’t determined a cause.
