SEATTLE — A 60-year-old Everett firefighter and paramedic was arrested in Seattle on Wednesday for investigation of sex crimes involving a minor, the Everett Herald reported.

The newspaper said the firefighter was being held without bail in the King County jail. He was not being named because he has not been charged and, according to the Herald, he has no felony history in Washington.

The firefighter, who has worked for the city of Everett since 1991, was placed on leave, Everett city spokeswoman Meghan Pembroke told the Herald.

Wonder if this is just the latest in a very long line of fabricated “bad sexual behavior” stories in an attempt to win a frivolous lawsuit? Accusing a government worker is one of the more successful approaches to do that, as is targeting wealthy men. Cases like this should get tossed unless there is actual evidence, and even then the evidence is sometimes “planted” by the accuser.
