Microsoft to fund new bike/walking bridge in Redmond

bikepathMicrosoft is coughing up the cash for a biking and walking bridge over Highway 520 in Redmond.

The path will link the west side of its campus to the future Overlake light rail station.

New renderings have been released of what it may look like.

Microsoft will donate more than $33 million dollars for the bridge, which could open sometime in 2020.

40,000 employees work on the massive campus.

The city of Redmond still has to approve the plan.
