gmoSEATTLE – The battle continues in the fight for mandatory labels of genetically modified foods. Supporters of Initiative 522 will hold a rally at Westlake Square this afternoon to talk about why they say the labels are important.

But some industry leaders say the initiative is misleading and might end up costing consumers more money.

Coming up on Q13 Fox at 4 and 5, hear from both supporters and opponents about this controversial issue.

    Why would labeling foods that are GMO be any different than labeling the ingredients or the amount of fat in a product? The only explanation for failing to label when so many support is that our politicians have been influenced by monitory support from corporations that none of us can match. I choose not to do business with Monsanto and use an android app that allows me to avoid doing so. Take a look at an app called Buycott to see if it is something worthwhile for you.
