Man pulled from Lake Union in critical condition

Lake Union Water RescueSEATTLE — The Seattle Fire Department responded to a water rescue at South Lake Union shortly after 2 p.m. Saturday, said fire spokesperson Sue Stangl.

An adult man was pulled from the 800 block of Fairview Avenue North near Daniel’s Broiler Restaurant.

Stangl said witnesses saw the man go into the water off a dock and didn’t surface.

Fire crews arrived and pulled the man out of the water.

He was transported to the hospital in critical condition, said Stangl.
