President Obama on Boston explosions

 WASHINGTON -- President Obama held a brief press conference Monday about the explosions that happened in Boston earlier in the day.

The president said that the incident erased any lines between political parties and that in times such as this "we are all Americans."

Emphasizing that the FBI and Homeland Security were investigating to determine who was responsible for the blast.



"We still do not know who did this or why, but make no mistake -- we will get to the bottom of (this). We will find out who did this. We will find out why they did this," the president said. "Any responsible groups will feel the full weight of justice."

Obama also extended his condolences to victims of the explosions and said, “The American people will say a prayer for Boston tonight, and Michelle and I send out deepest thoughts and prayers to the victims."

The president said the White House will continue to apprise the public of any new information it has in regard to the incident.
