Both directions of SR-18 are closed near Tiger Mountain Summit after a crash Friday morning.

The highway was closed between I-90 and Issaquah-Hobart Road for over four hours.

The Washington State Patrol (WSP) previously reported no injuries in the crash. At around 7:30 a.m., WSP Trooper Rick Johnson released an update saying at least one person was taken to Harborview Medical Center, where they later died.

According to a WSP release, a car traveling westbound crossed the center line and struck a vehicle traveling eastbound head on.

The driver of the car that crossed the center line died in the crash. The driver and passenger of the other vehicle were taken to a local hospital.

Drugs or alcohol are not believed to be a factor. This crash is still under investigation.
