Fire burns boat in Gig Harbor marina
A boat caught fire early Friday morning in Gig Harbor.
GIG HARBOR, Wash. - Early Friday morning, firefighters extinguished a boat fire at the Peninsula Yacht Basin in Gig Harbor.
The Gig Harbor Fire Department responded to reports of a marina fire at 3:07 a.m. Friday and crews arrived to find a boat engulfed in flames.
However, with the assistance of West Pierce Fire and Rescue, the blaze was quickly contained and extinguished. Only one boat was destroyed, and a second sustained minor damage.
