Man threatens bouncer with spear, throws 'Batarang' at cops, Seattle police say

SEATTLE – Police said they arrested a man Monday after he threatened a bouncer with a spear and threw a “sharp, black, Batman-style throwing star” at a police SUV.

Police say the “Batarang” embedded in the lower front end of the SUV.

The incident began at a bar around 6:30 p.m., when the man swung a knife attached to a metal pole at a bouncer at a bar near E. Olive Way and E. Denny way.

Somebody called the police, and while they were chasing him, the man allegedly threw the Batarang at their vehicle.

The 23-year-old man was booked for felony assault, and police said they’re also requesting weapons and obstruction charges.
