Russell Wilson hosts fundraiser to help local families get access to healthy food



SEATTLE -- Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson and Luvo, a forward-looking food company creating the next generation of frozen food, with a focus on great taste, convenience and most importantly nutrition, hosted a breakfast fundraiser Monday benefiting First Place.

First Place provides "whole child" support which includes three nutritious meals a day to local children and families experiencing challenges and trauma.

The event brought 400 people, including 30 First Place families, to Gas Works Park with the goal of raising money for local children who don't have access to healthy nutritious food.

Wilson told Q13 News it's important to give families the option of eating healthy.
