Free Slurpee Day sparks Twitter war of words between Seahawks, Steelers

SEATTLE - Free Slurpee Day, of all things, sparked a Twitter battle on Monday between the Seattle Seahawks and the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Seemingly unprovoked, the Steelers set things in motion with a post that said "7 >> 11 on 7/11."

That was accompanied  by a video of a 69-yard touchdown pass from Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger (who wears No. 7) to Markus Wheaton (No. 11).

That TD came against the Seahawks last November- a game the Seahawks went on to win, 39-30,  providing the team with a pretty easy comeback.

Inevitably, the Steelers issued a reminder about the events of Super Bowl XL.

So yes, it's a really, really slow time of the year in the NFL. Training camp begins July 30.
