New trike donated to disabled Bremerton man whose ride was stolen

BREMERTON, Wash. --  Pablo Lozano is a popular man around Bremerton -- partly because of his ride.

“It was customized for me because it had the brakes on the left hand, since I can’t use my right hand,” says Pablo.

A stroke and meningitis at the age of 5 left him disabled, so Pablo gets around town on his customized "trike".

“He’s always nice to everyone, waving at everyone, as he's driving by,” says neighbor Eric White.

Kitsap County sheriff’s investigators say someone stole Pablo’s trike from the Fred Meyer parking lot Monday afternoon.

Pablo says he parked it right outside the store before he started his shift. He says he left it charging, but not locked up.  Pablo says a co-worker told him he saw someone riding off on the trike down Highway 303.

Pablo estimates the trike’s value at $1,000.  He says he is heartbroken, but holding out hope his trike will be returned.

Until then, Pablo says he’ll be riding the bus to get to his job.

Anyone with information on this trike should contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS.
