Pierce County detectives investigate murder suicide at Graham home

GRAHAM, Wash -- A woman and man are both dead after a shooting at a Graham home Saturday morning, according to authorities.

Graham Fire says crews were called to the 19400 block of 91st Avenue East on reports of two victims with gunshot wounds.

Firefighters said the 911 call came from a young child.  The 4-year-old told the 911 operator that her parents were on the floor after a problem at the home.

The Pierce County Sheriff's Department said detectives are investigating the incident as a murder suicide.

The sheriff's office says the man is a 36-year-old former member of the military who was suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder. The man, who the medical examiner has identified as Kerry Anderson is believed to have killed his 32-year-old wife, Jessica Anderson before turning the handgun on himself. He was taken to St. Joseph's Medical Center in extremely critical condition where he later died.

The couple's three children, ages 5, 4 and 6-months were all home at the time but unharmed.  They are in the care of relatives.
