Everett family asks for help finding stolen SUV containing father's ashes

EVERETT, Wash. -- A family is asking for the public's help in finding their SUV that was stolen on Tuesday.

A man had just picked up the cremated remains of his father from a local funeral home. He left the gold urn in the SUV because the family was planning a memorial service the next day.

At some point Tuesday night, Everett police say the car was stolen from the 11000 block of Evergreen Way.

The SUV is a white 1999 Honda CRV with Washington plates AKG-1121 and a black cargo trailer and hitch.

The urn is a gold colored tin box about eight inches square.

There are no images of the exact vehicle, but a similar CRV is shown above.
