Sheriff: Inept robber hung out at store, applied for job before crime
SNOHOMISH COUNTY -- Often times, robbers can be crafty, cunning and skilled, leaving their victim shocked and questioning who the assailant was.
Other times... not so much.
Police arrested a hapless criminal early Tuesday morning after he allegedly robbed a gas station on Bothell Everett Highway. But the criminal wasn't unknown to the store clerks. Allegedly, he had hung around the store for more than an hour before the robbery. He even previously applied for a job using his own name, and the application was still on file with the manager.
Snohomish County Sheriff's K-9 tells the story:
Luckily, no one was hurt in the crime. Others on Facebook seemed to find the humor in the crook's missteps, too.
"I thought the description I read earlier had a ton of information," Cheri R Marsh-Curdy said. "Nomrally they are so vague... this explains all."
