New video shows what's being called 'the biggest shark ever filmed'

GUADALUPE ISLAND, Mexico -- A newly released video shows what is being called one of the biggest great white sharks ever filmed.

According to the Discovery Channel, the video was taken by one of their shark experts, Mauricio Hoyos Padilla, who poked his body out of the shark cage as Deep Blue swam by him.

The shark, who was pregnant at the time, was estimated at more than 20 feet in length.

Experts believe Deep Blue is at least 50 years old.

"I give you the biggest white shark ever seen in front of the cages in Guadalupe Island....DEEP BLUE!!!" the caption reads.

The shark was featured in Shark Week 2014, but this new footage was just released. It has been viewed more than 1.2 million times since it was posted Monday.
