Red Robin Restaurant catches fire in Bothell

BOTHELL, Wash. -- A Red Robin Restaurant in Bothell caught fire Sunday during the dinner rush.

The two-alarm fire started inside the location on the Bothell-Everett Highway near I-405.

Witnesses said flames and smoke were shooting from the roof before firefighters arrived.

An employee said itall started in the kitchen.

"I was just walking back in the kitchen to just drop off some dishes and I saw the broiler just kind of go up in fire," said server Jesse Bowers.=

Employees said there were dozens of customers inside the restaurant when this happened. Fortunately, everyone got out safely.




Officials say the grease fire caused half a million dollars worth of damage.


The restaurant is currently being remodeled and employees hope this fire won't set things back.
