Woman says man grabbed her at Green Lake Park in broad daylight

SEATTLE -- A Seattle woman is warning others about a strange encounter she had at Green Lake Park.

Jennifer Ramos said that at about 6 p.m. Tuesday she was walking along the trail when a stranger grabbed her and told her to come with him. That’s when she said she pulled away and sprinted to the park’s office to get help.

While she feels lucky she got away, she wants to share her story to prevent something more serious from happening to someone else.

“His intention was to grab me and pull me someplace,” said Ramos. “I got away safely but who knows what could have happened.”

Those who frequent the park are shocked this happened, especially in the middle of the day at a busy time.

Ramos said she filed a police report but she’s also using social media to spread the word. She’s hoping someone may have seen the man Tuesday afternoon.

She said he wasn’t wearing a shirt but had black shorts on. She and another witness also said he had a distinct "thorn" tattoo on his arm.
