Homicide probe: Body of man wrapped in plastic, sleeping bag found in U-District alley

SEATTLE -- Homicide detectives are investigating after a man’s body was found Thursday evening in a University District alleyway, the Seattle Police Department said Friday.

Police responded to the alley in the 4200 block of 12th Avenue NE and found the body of a 29-year-old man, wrapped in plastic and a sleeping bag.

Police said detectives believe the man was killed elsewhere and left in the alley.

Police turned the body over to King County Medical Examiner’s Office.
