25-year-old arrested for suspicion of identity theft found dead in Island County Jail

COUPEVILLE, Wash. (AP) — An Island County sheriff's officer says a 25-year-old inmate has been found dead in his cell in the county jail in Coupeville on Whidbey Island.

The Daily Herald of Everett reports (http://is.gd/w1tf5M ) that sheriff's detective Ed Wallace says Keaton Farris was found early Wednesday morning. The cause of death is under investigation.

Farris was booked into jail in late March for investigation of identity theft in San Juan County. No other details were immediately released.
