Redmond police release sketch of assault suspect who tried to drag woman into woods

REDMOND, Wash. -- Redmond police are asking for the public's help in identifying a man who reportedly assaulted a woman and tried to drag her into the woods.



According to police, the woman was walking home on the 14200 block of Redmond Way around 8:50 p.m. Monday when an unknown man grabbed her waist. The suspect told the woman he wanted to have sex with her and tried to drag her into off the street, but she was able to fight him off.

The suspect took off on foot westbound toward Kirkland.

The victim is described as a Hispanic male, 5' 8", 140-160 pounds. At the time, he was wearing a black sweatshirt, dark jeans and a black beanie.
