Police: Woman grabbed off street, raped and robbed
THURSTON COUNTY, Wash. -- Deputies say a 26-year-old woman was grabbed off the street, raped and robbed Saturday evening in Tumwater.
According to the sheriff's office, the woman was walking northbound in the 6100 block of Rainier Road SE around 8:30 p.m. when a man grabbed her from behind and forced her into a secluded area where she was raped and robbed.
After the assault, the suspect ran off southbound on Rainier Road SE. He was described as a black male, 17 to 23-years-old, 5-foot-5 or 5-foot-6, weighing 130 to 140 pounds. He reportedly had a deep voice and possibly short hair.
