81-year-old man injured in crash on SR 18 (PHOTOS)

AUBURN -- An 81-year-old man suffered critical injuries Tuesday when a car he was riding in was involved in a multi-vehicle crash, the Washington State Patrol said.

Trooper Chris Webb tweeted about the crash on State Route 18 near Raging River at 12:45 p.m.

The crash closed SR 18 about a half mile west of Interstate 90. Two semi trucks and a van were involved, Webb said, and all were traveling westbound.

No other injuries were reported.

Crews were hoping to set up detour routes, as SR 18 at Issaquah-Hobard Road was expected to be closed for some time.
