Pedestrian critically hurt in Bellevue hit-and-run crash

BELLEVUE -- Police took a driver into custody after a hit-and-run crash that critically injured a pedestrian.

Bellevue police first tweeted about the crash at 3:45 p.m.  Northbound Coal Creek Parkway was closed at Forest Drive for the investigation.

Officers said the driver of a dark Porsche SUV stopped initially, then left the scene heading northbound on Coal Creek Parkway. They said the driver was taken into custody less than three hours later.

The pedestrian was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries, police said.
