Police: Woman doused man in gasoline, lit him on fire

RENTON — Police are investigating a domestic violence dispute after a woman allegedly poured gasoline on a man and lit him on fire.

According to the Renton Police Department, a 52-year-old man walked into a store around 8 a.m. in Renton and asked the clerk to call for aid. The man, obviously suffering from extensive burns, told the clerk a woman poured gas on him and lit him on fire at a nearby apartment complex.

Aid arrived and the man was taken to Harborview Medical Center with serious but non-life-threatening burns. Police called to the scene located the man’s significant other, but it is not known if she has been arrested.

Police are not seeking anyone else in the assault, and investigating the incident as a domestic violence.

This story will be updated if more information becomes available.
