A father's dream come true: a '57 Chevy for his 57th birthday (PHOTOS/VIDEO)

LOUISVILLE, Kentucky -- A Kentucky man fulfilled a promise he made to his father when he was just 8-years-old -- he gave him a ’57 Chevy on his 57th birthday.

Mike King wrote on Friday that his father, Roger, always dreamed of owning a 1957 Chevy Bel-Air.

On Roger’s 57th birthday, Mike gave the ’57 Chevy Bel-Air to his father. The entire unveiling was captured on video and posted to YouTube.

At the beginning of the video, Roger is apparently trying to fix a cornhole board when Mike opens the garage door to reveal the ’57 Chevy.

“Happy Birthday,” Mike tells his dad. Roger, overcome with emotion, gives his son a big hug.

Mike then hands his father the keys and his dad checks out his new car before leaning over and giving it a kiss.

In a Reddit post, Mike said he traveled to New Hampshire two years ago to pick up the vehicle. He said he has been hiding the car in his garage since then.

Mike said he worked overtime at his factory job to afford the car. He has not been able to fix up the vehicle as much as he wanted to, but his father is retired and will have plenty of time to work on the car.
