Family opens Christmas gift expecting headphones, finds canned tuna

BOTHELL — A Bothell family said their Christmas was ruined by a fishy surprise.

TunaSteve Lopez ordered a set of Beats Headphones for his 14-year-old daughter, but when they opened the box they found four cans of tuna instead.

Lopez said Wal-Mart didn’t have the headphones in stock, so they ordered them online and had them delivered to the Marysville store.

He wrapped the sealed box and put it under the tree. Lopez said he couldn’t wait for his daughter to open it.

“I was upset,” Lopez said. “My daughter was crying … had tears in her eyes.”

Lopez said the family doesn’t even eat tuna because his youngest daughter is allergic.

The family plans to take the tuna and the box back to Wal-Mart.

Yet they can't pay their employees enough to buy tuna. Wal Mart has no value.

As unbelievable as a customer opening not one but two different sealed iPods – one of them in front of a store employee – only to find erasers in the packages contained erasers instead of iPods?

The statement "we dont even eat tuna" make this story sound seriously suspicious. Not to mention the Walmart bag under the box. Walmart doesn't ship in store bags :/

I'm pretty sure they did in-store pickup, which would explain their name being printed on the wrapper.

I have a set of white beats I truly hate. They are so bad a can of tuna may be a better deal, but for the Christmas spirit, if someone can connect me to the family, I used mine for a day and didnt like the sound.
    I would donate them.
