SEATTLE — It’s a deal that may sound a little too good to be true. Puget Sound Energy is offering to replace old, inefficient refrigerators with new ones that could save customers more than $200 a year in energy costs.
Customers with a refrigerator manufactured before 1992 that’s in working condition can trade it in for an energy-efficient model by Frigidaire, while supplies last. PSE will even remove and recycle the old fridge when the new one is delivered. Replacement refrigerators are a basic white, single-door, top-freezer model.
To qualify for a free replacement refrigerator, the old refrigerator must also be:
- 10 to 30 cubic feet in size
- The primary food storage in the kitchen
- Owned by a current PSE customer
You can learn if you qualify by calling 1-877-341-2314, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. For more information from PSE, click here.
