Hang tight: Record heat Monday, but then nice...

SEATTLE -- Record heat is forecast for Seattle for Monday, the first day of July. Highs will be in the 90s for most. That is too hot for Seattle but it will not stay super hot all week.

Tuesday through next Sunday, it will be very nice but not that hot. It will be closer to the 70s and 80s.

Starting Tuesday, the area will enter a more typical pattern with morning clouds but the days will be sunny and nice.

The Fourth of July looks really nice, with morning clouds and afternoon sunshine. Highs on the Fourth will around 74 degrees.

No rain in the forecast for at least eight days!
