One dead, two injured in multi-vehicle crash involving semi

FEDERAL WAY, Wash. -- One person died and two others and a puppy were injured Monday morning in a multi-vehicle crash on Pacific Highway in Federal Way.

Federal Way Police said officers responded about 9:30 a.m. Monday to a crash in the 37300 block of Pacific Highway South. A semi, a sedan and a small SUV were all involved in the crash.

The semi was traveling north when it slowed for traffic and lost control. The semi crossed the center line and struck a Honda Pilot head-on. The 50-year-old woman driving the Honda died at the scene.

Another driver's car went into a ditch. The semi driver and the driver of the car were taken to a hospital and treated for minor injuries.

A puppy was injured as well.
