2 people injured by gunfire in Pioneer Square



SEATTLE - Two people were injured and rushed to the hospital after an early morning shooting in Pioneer Square.

Police responded to reports of gunfire in the area of 2nd Avenue and South Washington Street around 2:30 a.m. Thursday. The Seattle Police Department says the victims were shot after confronting a man who was slapping women.

The two men, a 25-year-old and a 23-year-old, were rushed to Harborview Medical Center and are expected to be okay.

Police are still searching for the gunman.
