EVERETT, Wash. – The race for Snohomish County sheriff pits boss against employee.

Sheriff Ty Trenary is running for re-election against Sgt. Adam Fortney. Fortney has pegged himself as the "tough on crime" candidate, while Trenary says he's focused on creative solutions to the county's problems.
