Man injured, suspect sought after Renton shooting

RENTON, Wash. -- Authorities say a 20-year-old man was critically injured Monday in a shooting in Renton.

It happened at about 4 p.m. in a parking lot at Renton Village Shopping Center in the 300 block of S. Grady Way.

Renton Police said in a release that a suspect fired several shots into the man's vehicle. He was taken to the hospital with severe injuries.

Witnesses tried to help the victim as he lay on the ground, police said. One of the witnesses, a nursing student, used her boyfriend's sweatshirt to try and stop the bleeding.
