Driver arrested on suspicion of DUI after deadly crash on I-5

MILTON, Wash. --- One person is dead and an 18-year-old has been arrested after a crash on I-5 Southbound in Milton near South 348th Street.

Troopers closed four lanes of that roadway and traffic was getting around in the HOV lanes. The crash happened just south of the Pierce-King County line, and the roads reopened about 6:30 a.m., ahead of morning rush hour.

Troopers say the crashed involved two cars, and  the driver who caused the crash, an 18-year-old woman, is now under arrest for suspicion of DUI.

The crash is being investigated as a vehicular homicide.
