2 men found shot, dead in rural Washington state ID'd

AMBOY, Wash. — The Clark County Sheriff's Office has released the names of two men found shot to death Saturday night in southwestern Washington.

The sheriff's office says 84-year-old Vernon Snider of Amboy died of multiple gunshot wounds to the head and his death was ruled a homicide.

The other man, identified as 56-year-old Robert Rowland of Amboy, also died of a gunshot wound to the head and his death was ruled a suicide. The medical examiner's office says Rowland shot himself with a handgun.

The Clark County Sheriff's Office says deputies arrived at a home in Amboy Saturday and found the bodies.

The Columbian reports that property records show Snider owned the residence. Other details including the men's relationship have not been released.

An investigation is ongoing.
