South Seattle community center struck with gunfire

SEATTLE — The Seattle Police Department Gang Unit is investigating a shooting Saturday evening at a community center in the city’s Rainier Valley area.

It happened at the Van Asselt Community Center on the 2800 block of South Myrtle Street.

Police said no one was hurt, but there was property damage reported.
