One man dead, one woman critically injured in Kirkland homicide



KIRKLAND, Wash. -- Police arrested a "person of interest" after a man was killed and a woman was critically injured early Friday morning in Kirkland.

Officers were called just after 2 a.m. to the 12900 block of 131st Avenue Northeast for a reported disturbance. Once they arrived, they found a man stabbed to death inside a house and a woman suffering from critical injuries. She was taken to a hospital and is expected to survive.

According to the Kirkland Police Department, people inside the house were questioned and investigators said the suspect is known to the family.

Police picked up the person of interest as he was exiting a home in Redmond.
