Authorities ID men in dispute that left 1 dead, 1 injured

VANCOUVER, Wash. — Authorities have identified two Washington men involved in a dispute that resulted in one man killing himself after shooting his neighbor.

The Oregonian/OregonLive reports that Clark County Sheriff's Office Sgt. Craig Randall said Monday that 56-year-old David Raymond Cannon shot his Vancouver, Washington, neighbor, 53-year-old Ralph Michael Gigantelli, before fatally shooting himself.

Randall says Gigantelli was alive Sunday, but he didn't know Gigantelli's status Monday morning. Randall also didn't know what hospital was treating Gigantelli.

Authorities say the two men allegedly had an ongoing dispute, and on Sunday around 12:30 p.m., Cannon allegedly walked across the street and shot Gigantelli, who was mowing his lawn.

Police reports say Cannon then shot himself, and died at the scene.
